Trouba Ch'ti Orkestar

In 2005 Antoine Marechal, also known as Tonio, goes to Serbia to meet Trubaci, the brass bands you can find in ex-Yougoslavia. When he returns he meets more and more Balkan musicians, including Laurent Dionet, the saxophonist/flutist of the band and the tuba players, Cyrille Catteau and Marc-Antoine Delattre. The are obviously on the same wavelength and they set out to bring the passion and madness of the Troubaci's spirit to France.

Following several months of preparations, in June 2006 the band consists of ten musicians. The very first gig takes place in one of the cafés of Wazemmes, Lille. Le Trouba was born! This is the beginning of a great musical adventure.

Since 2006 Le Trouba appeared on stage more than 200 times in France, Belgium and Serbia, including the Golden Trumpet Contest in Guča, Lille 3000, the Balkan Beat-Paris night, celebrations in Trappes, Loire-Orléans celebrations, Mille et Une festival (Villeneuve D'Ascq), Bals Tsiganes, Rouen carnivals, Courtai, Soissons, Tourcoing, etcetera. In February 2007 Trouba Ch'ti Orkestar wins the duel of Brass Bands against the famous Parisian band "Les Costards".

In December 2007 tubists of Trouba meet Bulgarian gypsies Apaz Demir (clarinet) and Mitko Chakarov (trumpet). Together they performed several times along with "La Panika".

In August 2008 Nathalie Renard (the female dancer of the band), Tonio and Laurent Dionet vist the 48th edition of the Golden Trumpet contest in Guča: five days of real madness and craze to the sound of Serbian brass bands.

In August 2009 Trouba Ch'ti Orkestar goes back to Guča and faces the Serbian brass bands in competition. Le Trouba grabs people's attention, so the officials give them the opportunity to represent France in the next (50th) edition in 2010.
