Süperstar Orkestar

Süperstar Orkestar is a wind-band from Stockholm, Sweden, with party music from Macedonia and Serbia on their repertoire. The orchestra was founded in 1997 and had its big breakthrough around the same time as Emir Kusturica's movie "Black cat - White cat" was shown in Sweden. The orchestra has a varied repertoire, featuring coceks, kolos and their own compositions.

In 2002, 2003 and 2006 the orchestra toured in Macedonia and Serbia. They were very much appreciated and did many gigs together with wedding-orchestras. Because the instruments are very loud, the orchestra likes to play acousticly. This was something which ten thousands of people could enjoy when they played at the big brassband festival in Guca, Serbia.

In 2004, 2006 and 2007 Süperstar toured with the Macedonian superstar Ferus Mustafov in Sweden. King Ferus made a dazzling display of perfection, power and swing. His deep musical knowledge and constant focus took the band to a higher level.

Süperstar Orkestar has appeared on radio and tv in Sweden as well as abroad and their two records, especially the latest "Süper Internazional", have been well received by the press and radio in Sweden and Denmark. The CD has been played on the radio in Serbia, Macedonia, Portugal, Canada, Alaska, Norway and France.
